Coach Cambron returns for his 8th season as the coach of the Milford Eagles. This year Coach Cambron is looking to improve on last year’s respectable 12-5 record en route to an FAVC title. The 2008-2009 season was highlighted by a sweep of FAVC opponents Winton Woods and Harrison, and a late road win against Mason. This year, returning junior and First Team All-FAVC player Zach Baker will be joined by captains Cody Dierks and senior, Joey Hammond. The 2009-2010 Eagles will miss the presence of Mark Bryant, who was a first team FAVC player a year ago. The Eagles are returning a total of 8 letterman which should provide them with the experience and depth that will be needed to win the FAVC.
This year the coaching responsibilities will change a bit. Coach Mark Edwards will be assisting with the varsity team, Adam Weber takes over the Junior Varsity team, while Chris Vollman assumes the Head Freshman Coaching responsibilities and will be assisted by Matt Folkerth.
This year the Eagles will hit the road for their first 8 games of the season before returning home to play 10 straight. The first tip will take place on December 4 at Sycamore, and the first home tip will take place on January 9 versus Indian Hill. This year’s schedule will be highlighted by trips to play FAVC favorite Winton Woods on January 5th, and big home games on January 15th against Loveland, February 12th against Anderson, and finishing the regular season at Loveland on February 19th.
