2012 Hall of Fame Inductions

Milford  Hall of Fame night is Friday,  February 3, 2012.

Inductions will take place between the JV and Varsity basketball games.


Milford Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

The Milford Hall Of Fame was established in 2000 by the Milford Athletic Boosters Club.

The Milford Hall Of Fame recognizes student-athletes, coaches, and contributors who have made significant contributions to Milford Athletics throughout their careers.

Hall Of Fame plaques are on permanent display at Milford High School in the lobby of the Fley Center.

Don Andriot '77

  • Earned 8 varsity letters in football, basketball and track
  • All-Eastern Hills League (EHL) at receiver (1976)
  • 1st in city in yards per catch, 3rd in receiving yardage (1976)
  • 2nd team all city receiver (1976)
  • Starting tight end for Cincinnati Enquirer East-West All-Star game (1977)
  • Set school record in the 120 yard high hurdles, 880 yard relay, mile relay and shuttle hurdles
  • Track team MVP (1976, 1977); Team captain (1977)
  • Four-time EHL champion in high hurdles (1977), low hurdles (1977) and mile relay (1976, 1977)
  • Sectional and district qualifier in the mile relay (1976, 1977)
  • Attended the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship earning four varsity letters and graduating with a degree in engineering

Jim Terrell '83

  • Earned 3 varsity letters in cross-country and wrestling
  • World class canoeist with the following accomplishments
  • Four-time Olympian (1980, 1984, 1988, 1992)
  • Seventeen-time national champion (1980-1982, 1984-1989, 1992-1999)
  • Two-time Olympic semi-finalist in the 500m single canoe (1988, 1996) and 500m double canoe (1992)
  • Competed 8 times in the World Championships (1983, 1985-1987, 1990, 1991, 1995, 1999)
  • Nine-time medalist in the Pan-American Games earning two gold, three silver and four bronze medals (1987, 1989, 1995, 1999)
  • Inducted into the Clermont County Hall of Fame, Ohio (1994)
  • Honored with the “Jim Terrell Park” in hometown of Milford, Ohio (1998)

Joel Peschke '91

  • Earned 4 varsity letters in football and basketball
  • Three year starter in basketball
  • All-Greater Miami Conference (GMC) 1st team  football (1990) and honorable mention in basketball (1991)
  • Cincinnati Enquirer all-city honorable mention in basketball (1991)
  • Finished his career in the top 10 in scoring (5th – 728 points) and rebounds (6th – 497 rebounds)
  • Basketball team MVP (1990, 1991)
  • Attended the University of Memphis on a football scholarship, graduating with honors (cum laude) in 1995
  • Team Captain (1995)
  • Awarded National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame post-graduate academic scholarship
  • Earned law degree from the University of Cincinnati (2000)

Dave Niemeyer (Coach)

  • Coached cross-country, wrestling, track and basketball at Milford from 1976 to 2006
  • Led Milford cross-country to 4 league championships (1983, 1987, 1988, 1994)
  • Coached 32 All-League runners in cross-country
  • Coached cross-country to 11 consecutive team regional appearances
  • Coached cross-country to three team state appearances including a 3rd place finish in 1987
  • Coached 8 individual regional qualifiers
  • Coached 9 individual state qualifiers in cross-country including 4 top-five finishers

  • Earned Cincinnati Player of the Week award  against Glen Este, totaling eight receptions for 121 yards, three touchdowns, 18 tackles, one sack, and an interception (1988)
  • Recognized on the “National Blue Chip Recruit” for football (1989)
  • Milford career cut short by a leg injury suffered during his senior football season

Jill Meranda '99

Jim Prather - Coach & Athletic Director

  • Head football coach for 13 years (1984-1996)
  • Facilitated the transition of Milford High School from the Eastern Hill League (EHL) to the Eastern Metro League (EML)
  • Coached Milford to the Eastern Metro League championship (1986) with a 9-1 record
  • Led Milford to their 1st Division I Ohio State Playoff appearance (1986)
  • Southwest Ohio Football Coaches Association (SWOFCA) President (1984 & 1985)
  • Selected SWOFCA Man of the Year (1985)
  • Facilitated the transition of Milford High School from the Eastern Metro League to the Greater Miami Conference
  • Oversaw construction of the Fley Center gymnasium, aquatic facility, soccer stadium and baseball facility as well as football stadium renovations
  • Most wins as Milford head football coach (53) at the time of his retirement

Zach Strief '01

Michael “Mike” Farley '69

  • Multiple games with over 200 rushing yard and three kickoff returns for touchdown as a senior
  • 4th in individual scoring in Greater Cincinnati with 94 points (1968)

Matt Meibers '71

Napoleon McCallum '81

  • State wrestling qualifier and member of the Milford Wrestling Hall of Fame

  • 3rd team All-State defensive back
  • Played football for the United States Naval Academy
  • Finished 4th in the Heisman Trophy balloting in 1983 and 5th in 1985

Gary Hardoerfer '81

Dr. Donald Ebersold

  • Donated his time as team physician from 1960 - 1977
