Tony MayneCaptain Tony Mayne (on the right in photo), Class of 1994, was recently selected to command Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Captain Mayne recently commanded Bravo Company, 2-325AIR. He is currently serving his 6th combat tour in support of the War of Terror. Captain Mayne was a participant in the initial airborne assault operations in Afghanistan, October 2001 and Iraq, March 2003 with Charlie Company, 3d Ranger Battalion. John SenceJohn Sence, class of 1988 and Milford HOF inductee, culminated his high school cross country career by finishing 2nd in the Kinney (Foot Locker) National Cross Country Championships in San Diego, CA. He was runner-up to fellow Ohio runner (and Olympian),Bob Kennedy. He continues to hold the high school cross country course record at Rapid Run Park (home of the Father Rudy Invitational and GCLs)with a time of 14:48. John continued his running career at Wake Forest University and left his mark with two All America awards for his performance in the 10,000 meter run as well as being named most valuable track athlete his senior season. He helped lead the 1991 Wake Forest Cross Country team to a 3rd place finish at the NCAA Championships. John was also named to the All-ACC Cross Country team for two of his seasons. Following graduation at Wake Forest, John continued his success by qualifying for the 1996 and2000 Marathon Olympic Trials. He was a member of the USA National Half Marathon team in 1996 and 1999, with the top US performance in 1996. He also won the USA Road Race Grand Prix in 1997 and was runner-up in 1998. John was a two-time winner of the USA 25K National Championship. He displayed great range with personal best times of 13:54 at 5K, 1:02:56 at the half marathon and a marathon time of 2:15:39. Locally, John holds the course record at the Thanksgiving Day race, where he has won a record six times.
