Busy Week Ahead For Boys Volleyball

SETTING THE SCENE:  Milford’s boys volleyball team is off to a strong start, with a 4-1 record to open the season.  The Eagles will look to keep the recent win streak alive as they head into the coming week, with five matches on the schedule including rival Loveland and a tri-match at Mason.

 

A LOOK BACK:  Milford hosted the ECC’s West Clermont last week, a team comprised of players from both Amelia and Glen Este.  Though Milford won the match in straight sets of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-15, the young Wolves have made strides in just their second year of existence.

The Eagles continued their win streak on the home court by defeating Colerain, 3-0.  Once again, Milford won in straight sets to take the match with scores of 25-11, 25-9, and 25-21.

 

THE WEEK AHEAD:  Milford will travel to Walnut Hills early in the week, a team in its first year is off to a strong start.  The Eagles then return to host #9 Princeton and Loveland, whom Milford defeated 3-1 earlier in the season.  The weekend will find Milford at Mason for a tri-match with Mason and Monroe.

  • Wednesday, 4/19:                Princeton High School @ Milford, 6:45 pm
  • Thursday, 4/20:                   Loveland High School @ Milford, 6:45 pm
  • Saturday, 4/22:                    Milford @ Mason/Monroe tri-match, 10:00 am

  

POLL WATCH:  Though St. Xavier remained first, Moeller rose to second and Elder fell to third in the Cincinnati Enquirer’s area coaches’ poll for week three.  Lakota East remained in the fourth spot, while Alter and LaSalle are now tied for fifth.  Both Milford and Loveland of the ECC received three votes in this week’s poll.
