Four Eagles Earn ECC Girls Golf Honors

Four members of the 2016 Milford High School girls golf squad have been named All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference for their play this fall. Headlining the list is a pair of first team honorees in junior Casey Broxterman and sophomore Bre Severns.

 

Broxterman was the Eagles’ top performer much of the season and ended the regular season ranked sixth among conference players with a nine-hole scoring average of 46.6. She went on to place fourth at the ECC’s Postseason Tournament.

 

In her first year of varsity play, Severns was also outstanding, placing 10th among league golfers with a 49.6 average over 117 holes. She tied for 16th at the ECC Tourney.

 

Megan Loux made a big impact as a freshman, placing 19th among ECC golfers during the regular season to earn a berth on the league’s second team. Loux posted a 52.8 average this fall and finished 20th at the ECC Tournament. Sophomore Megan LaFrance was Milford’s honorable mention choice after finishing among the top-25 in the league in season scoring average and at the ECC’s Postseason Tournament.

 

Milford closed the 2016 season by finishing second overall in the ECC standings.
