Girls Lacrosse Records Program’s First Win, Hosts McNicholas Tonight

SETTING THE SCENE: The Milford girls lacrosse team is back in action tonight, hosting McNicholas at 7 p.m. The Eagles will then travel for a two-game road swing at CHCA on Tuesday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m., and at Springboro on Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m.

THE UPCOMING DOCKET: Here’s a look at the Milford girls lacrosse schedule this week:

  • Monday, April 17 vs. McNicholas, 7 p.m.
    • 2017 Record: 1-5
    • Last Time Out: Loss vs. CJ, 9-8
  • Tuesday, April 18 at CHCA, 5:30 p.m.
    • 2017 Record: 2-4, 0-2 MVC
    • Last Time Out: Win vs. Clark Montessori, 12-3
  • Thursday, April 20 at Springboro, 7:30 p.m.

A LOOK BACK: The Lady Eagles recorded their first win in program history after defeating Miamisburg, 8-7, on April 11. Casey Roeder netted a hat trick, Ellen Victory and Grace Molett recorded a pair of goals, and Madi Phillips contributed a goal in the Eagles’ win. Goalkeepers Sydney Hogan and Lexi Allen combined for 9 saves on 16 shots.

Milford lost to Bishop Fenwick, 14-6, on April 8 with goals from Madi Phillips (2), Amanda Lee (1), Syndee Smith (1), Ellen Victory (1) and Sydney Hogan (1). The Eagles rounded out the week with a loss to Kings on April 14, 16-4. Sarah Ehrman recorded a pair of goals for MHS. Anna Renaker and Emily Stiles stepped in as goalkeepers and combined for 9 saves on 25 shots.
