The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Molly Shea has committed to continue her academic and athletic career as a member of the women's lacrosse team at Mount Saint Joseph University beginning in 2017.

Short will enter her fourth year on the varsity team (Milford lacrosse is currently a club sport) in the spring and was a second team all-conference selection last spring. She has played lacrosse competitively in seven different states and is the last original member of the first Milford club lacrosse team to graduate. She also earned honorable mention all-district honors as a sophomore.

At Mount St. Joseph, Shea will play for head coach Mike O’Hara who enters his fifth season leading the Lions this year. Molly is the daughter of Mike Shea and Shelly Zude.

Shea becomes the fifth member of Milford’s Class of 2016, and the third from the lacrosse team, to announce plans to play sports collegiately after graduation.
