Posted on: October 25, 2016

The girls cross country OHSAA District Championship races were held at Voice of America Park last week, where the Lady Eagles of Milford team finished ninth among twelve teams.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Andrea Armstrong (20:28, 33rd), followed by Olivia Loeffler, whose freshman year ended with a new personal best of 20:40, good for 41st place.  Senior Marissa Detore (20:54, 44th) finished third for the Eagles, ending her MHS cross country career with a new career best as well.  Emma Beck was just behind in 55th with a time of 21:28, followed by Cymone Horton (72nd, 22:11), Katherine Perez (76th, 22:42), and Morgan Hills (81st, 23:24).

The Eagles competed in Race B, which included twelve teams.  Ursuline Academy claimed the team championship, followed by Lakota East, the ECC’s Turpin, and McAuley, all of whom will advance to Regionals.

Turpin’s Samantha Bush, as was the case so often this season, finished first, winning the District Championship in Race B.
