Three MHS Girls Volleyball Players Named All-ECC

The season ended with a rally from the MHS girls volleyball team, as they won four of the last six matches of the regular season.  With the wins, particularly the 3-1 victory over Kings, the Eagles moved up in the standings to finish fifth in the conference.

 

ECC All Conference:  Three Milford volleyball team members were named to the 2016 Eastern Cincinnati Conference All-Conference Team.

Lisa Sullivan was named first team all-conference in the ECC for the second consecutive year.  The junior’s ECC stats included ended the season in the top twenty of most categories, including third in serves, sixth in digs, seventeenth in blocks, and eighteenth in attacks.

Sophomore Erica Sharp was selected to the all-conference second team, ending the season ranked tied for fifth in blocks and twelfth in serves.   

Abby Thierauf received all-conference honorable mention in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.  At the end of her freshman season, she ranked ninth in assists and twenty-fourth in serves.

Claire Armbruster of Turpin was honored as the ECC’s player of the year, while coach of the year is Kathy Carboy of Turpin.
