Tyler Babinec Named All-American

Posted on: July 13, 2017

Milford High School swimmer Tyler Babinec put a huge exclamation point on his sophomore season as he was recently named a National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association/Speedo All-American in the 100 breaststroke.

Babinec’s list of accomplishments in just his second season was lengthy as he qualified for the OHSAA State Championships in a pair of events, nabbing a best finish of third in the 100 breaststroke. The result was the best ever at the State Championships by a Milford swimmer. A four-time Eastern Cincinnati Conference Champion this winter, including two individual and two relay crowns, Babinec was chosen as the league’s Swimmer of the Year. His ECC Championship performance also included setting four conference records.
