Armstrong, Sager Set New Girls School Track and Field Records

Posted on: May 10, 2019

Two Milford girls track and field records fell at the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Championships at Anderson High School on May 10.  New records were set by senior Andrea Armstrong in the 400 meter dash, and by freshman Emmy Sager in the 3200 meter run.

Armstrong set a new Milford girls track and field record in the 400 meter dash, not once but twice this week.  After setting a new record of 57.95 in the Wednesday’s preliminary heat, she again broke her own record in the finals, and the record now stands at 57.41. The previous record was 58.00, set by Armstrong herself at the 2018 ECC Championships.

Sager set a new school record as well, this one in the 3200 meter run.  Sager, a freshman, finished the run in a new record time of 11:13.95, which was also good for 4th place.  The previous record of 11:23.00 was set in 2007 by Lacee Kurtz.
