Posted on: February 18, 2019

Milford senior Tyler Babinec finds himself in very exclusive company as he is listed among the world’s best in the 100 breaststroke for swimmers aged 18 and under. According to a recent tweet from USA Swimming National Junior Team Director Mitch Dalton, Babinec’s mark of 1:03.96, achieved at the Pro Swim Series event in early January was the fifth-fastest mark in the world so far this year.

Babinec is enjoying another stellar season, having qualified over the weekend for OHSAA State competition in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, as well as a member of the Eagles’ 200 medley relay squad. He has committed to swim beginning next season at Auburn University.
