May 11 at Lebanon: Lebanon 8, Milford 3

Milford couldn’t keep up with an 11-hit Lebanon attack as the Warriors grabbed an important 8-3 victory in the ECC. The Eagles cracked the scoreboard first with a run, but Lebanon scored seven times in the first three innings to take firm control.

The first inning saw Chase Herrell plate Jonathan Baker with a run-scoring single. After the Warriors rattled off seven straight runs, Milford got one back in the fourth when Bryce Perkins brough Herrell home with a knock. Milford’s final run came in the fifth on a Tyler Hewlett run-scoring fielder’s choice.

May 12 at Moeller: Moeller 10, Milford 7

In what could be a preview of a second round OHSAA Tournament match-up, Milford fell to Moeller in a slugfest, 10-7. The Eagles trailed 7-2 heading to the fourth, but clawed back into the game with a four-run frame. The Crusaders answered though, scoring three runs over the next two innings to take control again.

Trailing by four going into the second, a Jared Frederick RBI single and a Moeller error left the score at 4-2 in favor of the Crusaders. After Big Moe scored twice more in the third and once in the fourth, Milford put its four-spot up in the bottom of the inning. The big hit of the inning came off the bat of Jonathan Baker who recorded an RBI triple. The Eagles’ last run came in the seventh on a Louden Hilliard run-scoring double.
