February 2 at Loveland
Milford got back into the win column behind an outstanding first half and a big night from senior Jack Ackermann as the Eagles knocked off rival Loveland by a 58-47 final score. The victory extends Milford’s win streak over its Miami Township rival to five straight.

The Eagles got the night off on the right foot, shooting 48% in the first half to open a 31-14 lead at the break. Defense was the key as the Tigers were limited to just 5 of 21 shooting in the first 16 minutes. By the half, Ackermann had totaled nine of his career-high 13 points for the night.

Milford raised its lead to its high point of the night at 37-15 midway through the third quarter before Loveland started chipping away. The Tigers were never able to crack a single digit deficit again but made things uncomfortable for Milford until late. After Loveland got it within 10 for the second time, Alex Hannah and Erich Morgan put the game away with a three-point play and a hard-fought lay-up, respectively.

Ackermann paced the Eagles with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Hannah tacked on his third double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
