Boys Bowling Will Recognize Seniors at Final Home Date with Turpin

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  The Eagles close the regular season in the week ahead and will do so with Turpin at the final home match for three seniors.  The team and fans will honor seniors Nathan Hawkins, Michael Kozakiewicz and Eric Smith at approximately 4:45 pm, prior to baker games.

Monday, Feb. 11:               Turpin High School at Milford, Cherry Grove Lanes, 3:45 pm

 

A LOOK BACK:

February 4 at Finneytown:  Milford 1957, Finneytown 1645

The Eagles easily collected a non-conference victory from Finneytown with two game series from Nathan Hawkins (377), Nick Murphy (373), A.J. Kaylor (330) and Kyle Fanning (311), and a single game of 173 from Franklin Abt.

February 6 at Turpin:  Milford 2480, Turpin 2352

Milford brought home the win in the first of two with the ECC’s Turpin.  Abt’s high series of 405 and an average of 202.5 led the Eagles, followed by Hawkins (386) and Kaylor (305).  Murphy (183) and Michael Kozakiewicz (146) each added a game as Milford improved to 7-4 in the conference.

 

A LOOK INSIDE THE NUMBERS: West Clermont will finish the regular season as ECC Champions with a 11-1 record, their only loss to Kings who will finish 10-2.  Milford is currently 7-4 with the final conference match with Turpin to be played this week.  Loveland (7-5), Walnut Hills (2-9), Anderson (2-10) and Turpin (1-9) round out the current standings.

West Clermont’s team average of 968.2 leads the league, followed by Milford (892.1), Loveland (872.3), Kings (870.2) and Anderson (841.8) rounding out the top five.

A look at Milford’s individual statistical leaders in the ECC as of Feb. 10:

Average: Hawkins (3rd – 201.7); Abt (8th – 188.8)

High Game: Hawkins (6th – 257); Abt (t-7th – 256); Kaylor (t-7th – 256)

Series High: Hawkins (1st – 506); Abt (6th – 476); Kaylor (t-6th – 464)
