The Rockets were sharp on both ends of the court, shooting 54.5% from the floor, the highest performance of the season by a Milford opponent. After falling behind by nine at the end of the first quarter, Jake Ayler’s steal and lay-up cut McNick’s lead to just six at the 3:03 mark of the second. But the Rockets used a 7-0 run to end the half and take a 13-point lead into the break. The Eagles got as close as seven in the second half, before McNicholas’ pulled away for good.
