GAME REWIND

Milford’s close game blues that have plagued the team all season continued as the Eagles dropped another close one, a 53-50 decision to rival Loveland in the Mercy Health Hoops Classic. The Eagles’ Steven Huxell tied the game at 50 with a free throw with 13 seconds left, but Loveland’s Tripp Willis broke the hearts of the home team with a game-winning three-pointer with under five seconds left. Milford had a chance for overtime, but Jack Liles’ three at the buzzer rimmed out. The Eagles held their largest lead of the night, 11 with 5:29 left in the fourth, but Loveland scored 20 of the final 26 points of the night to triumph.
