Boys Lacrosse Set For Pair Of Road Games This Week

SETTING THE SCENE: The Milford High School boys lacrosse team will renew its quest for its first victory of the season when the Eagles take the field for a pair of road matches over Spring Break this week. The Eagles opened the year against a pair of the top teams in the area, falling to both Moeller (12-4) and Indian Hill (17-9). This week features the start to Eastern Cincinnati Conference play with a Wednesday trip to Turpin, before the Eagles travel to Seven Hills on Thursday.

POLL WATCH: Milford is one of a handful of teams that are receiving votes in the weekly area coaches’ poll which encompasses all divisions. St. Xavier and Moeller share the top spot in the rankings with the Bombers holding a 6-2 edge in first place votes. Third place Mariemont received the other two first place votes. Lakota West and Summit Country Day round out the top-five. The ECC is also represented by Loveland in seventh and Kings in 10th. The coaches’ poll is released every Monday at Noon at preps.cincinnati.com/coachespolls.

 

COLLEGE BOUND EAGLES: A trio of seniors on the 2018 Eagles’ roster have already announced their intention to continue their athletic and academic careers on the collegiate level. Dax Creager has signed a National Letter of Intent at High Point University, while Ryan Hezlep will attend the University of Indianapolis and A.J. Teague is headed to Transylvania University.
