Boys Volleyball To Host Loveland on Tuesday For OHSBVA District Final

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  Milford will take a 12-6 overall record and a No. 8 seed into the Ohio High School Boys Volleyball Association’s District Tournament.  

The Eagles will host ECC rival and No. 9 seed Loveland in the District Final, which will serve as the season tiebreaker for the two teams.  Milford won the first meeting 3-1, while Loveland defeated the Eagles 3-1 in the second meeting of the two teams in the regular season. 

The winner of Tuesday’s battle will move on to face No. 2 Moeller in the Regional Semi-Final, at Moeller on Wed., May 22 at 6:30 pm.                                                     

Tuesday, May 21:                  Loveland High School at Milford, 5:30 pm – OHSBVA

  

A LOOK BACK:

May 15 at Milford:  Milford 3, McNicholas 1

After recognizing seniors Caleb Cambron, Will Turner and Jake Wehrman, the Eagles took down the Rockets.  Though Milford lost the first set 19-25 to McNicholas, the Eagles stormed back to win the next three 25-15, 25-14, 25-18.

 

May 16 at Taylor:  Milford 3, Taylor 0

The Eagles ended the regular season with a road victory over Taylor in straight sets: 25-19, 25-12, 25-18.

  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  The Eagles finish the regular season 12-6, with a 3-3 record in the ECC. Walnut Hills won the ECC for the first time, finishing 6-0 in the conference and 15-5 as of May 19.  Loveland fell to 11-8 overall and 3-2 in the ECC, while West Clermont ends the season 0-6 in the conference, but scored three straight victories to end the regular season 7-12 overall. 

 

POLL WATCH:  Milford’s boys volleyball team has moved in and out of the top ten of the OHSBVA poll this season, and they Eagles are back in at tenth for the week ending May 11.  St. Xavier is back in the top position, moving Moeller back to second.  Elder and Mason held at third and fourth, but the ECC’s Walnut Hills has finally received recognition and moves up to fifth.  Badin, LaSalle, Fairfield, Loveland and Milford round out the top ten.
