Boys Volleyball travels to Walnut Hills for ECC Rematch

Posted on: April 23, 2018

SETTING THE SCENE:  Milford will hit the road for just the third time this season, as they travel to Walnut Hills for an ECC battle before hosting Sycamore.  For the third consecutive week, the Eagles dropped their first match of the week, to #4 Lakota East, but rallied for wins over Colerain and Princeton, improving to 7-3 overall.

A LOOK BACK:  Milford hosted Lakota East to begin the week on Mon., April 16, and fell to the #4 ranked team 3-0.  The first two games were much closer than the scores reflect, yet the Eagles lost in three with finals of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-12.

Colerain visited Milford and the Eagles added another one in the win column.  On Tues., April 17, Milford easily won the first set 25-9, and followed up with wins in the second and third sets, 25-11 and 25-16 to take the 3-0 victory.

Milford ended the recent homestand on Wed., April 18 with a 3-0 defeat over Princeton.  The Eagles swept the Vikings with 25-13, 25-13 and 25-14.

A LOOK AHEAD:   Milford has just two dates on the calendar in the week ahead.  The Eagles will travel to Walnut Hills on Tues., April 24.  Milford fell 2-3 to Walnut Hills in the first match of the season, and a victory would even the series and move Milford up in the conference standings. Milford will host Sycamore in the final match of the week, a team the Eagles defeated 2-0 at the Mason tri-match.

  • Tuesday, 4/24:                     Milford @ Walnut Hills High School @ Milford, 6:45 pm
