Bronaugh Fourth At SWOWCA Tourney; Wrestlers at Edgewood This Week

SETTING THE SCENE: Kobey Bronaugh brought home fourth place for the Eagles at the SWOWCA’s Annual Glen Sample Classic Tournament.  In other news, congratulations to the Milford Pinnettes, who were recognized as the Coaches’ Association as Statisticians of the Year!

Milford has one event on the calendar for the week, and they will travel to Edgewood High School. 

 

A LOOK BACK: Milford finished 36th out of 47 team at the SWOWCA’s Annual Glen Sample Classic Tournament, a two day event held at Harrison High School.

Kobey Bronaugh was the only Eagle to head into the second day of competition, where he finished fourth at 126#.  Bronaugh began the tournament with wins over Jaydon Streine of Walton-Verona, Nick Dye of Little Miami, and Middletown’s Aundre Zornes before losing to Jabari Thomas from Fairfield.  He rebounded with a win over Bethel-Tate’s Trey Sander to advance and compete for third place, where he was defeated by Cameron Baird of Harrison. Thomas went on to take first place in the 126# bracket.

 

SCHEDULE:  Milford will head to Edgewood this week before the holiday break for a tri-meet with Edgewood and Fairborn High Schools. 

Friday, 12/16:              Milford @ Edgewood/Fairborn, Edgewood High School, 10:00 am

 

POLL WATCH:   LaSalle held onto the top spot in the area coaches’ poll for week three.  LaSalle was followed by Elder, Harrison, Fairfield and Mason, who fell from third to fifth.  Loveland moved up for the second week, to eighth from ninth.  West Clermont (3) was the only ECC school to receive votes, as Milford did not receive any votes in week three.  Click HERE for the area coaches’ poll.
