Cook, Hjelming Nab Second Team All-State Soccer Honors

Posted on: November 19, 2019

A big congratulations to soccer players Beth Cook and Noah Hjelming who were recently named second team All-Ohio by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA).

Cook, a junior, was one of the most dominant players in the ECC this fall, earning first team all-league honors. She tied for the top spot among all players with 20 goals scored, including three hat tricks. Her 46 points were good for second in the final statistics, while she added six assists as well. Cook was also an All-City selection and is the first all-state selection from the Milford girls program since Meghan Canter (2nd team) in 2012.

Hjelming had a stellar senior campaign on his way to ECC Co-Athlete of the Year honors. He led the league with a staggering 17 assists; his 33 points ranked third in the league, while his eight goals were just outside the top-10. Hjelming becomes the all-state honoree on the boys side since Thomas Moore in 2013.
