Cross Country: Boys And Girls All-Conference ECC Selections

ECC All-Conference:  A.J. Erdaty was named boys runner of the year, and six other Milford cross country athletes received 2015 Eastern Cincinnati Conference All-Conference honors, the most since the inception of the conference in 2012.  

Boys:  A.J. Erdaty closed out his MHS cross country career named the 2015 runner of the year, and first team all-conference in for the third consecutive year; Erdaty opened his career named to the second team as a freshman.  Erdaty was the top finisher at the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Championship Meet on Oct. 17, setting a new career best of 16:19.  The senior just missed qualifying for a regional berth this season, with a 22nd place finish. 

Sophomore Harris Craycraft joins Erdaty on the first team All-ECC.  With a new personal best of 16:50, Craycraft ran to a 10th place finish at the ECC Championship Meet. 

A trio of seniors were named second team All-ECC for the boys team.  Casey Norman, who was named to the second team All-ECC in 2013, recorded a career person best 16:53 at the district championship, crossing the finish in 24th place.  Graham Craycraft (16:57) and Carlos Perez (16:58) set new career bests this year, and placed 18th and 19th respectively at the ECC Championship Meet.

Joseph Kruse, a junior, was named all-conference honorable mention.

Girls:  Freshman Jelena Vogt was impressive in her freshman season and received all-conference honorable mention in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.  Vogt led the Eagles for much of the season, including as the top Eagle finisher at the ECC Championship Meet, placing 22nd in 21:05, a new career best.

No surprise to those following the conference this season, Samantha Bush of Turpin were honored as the ECC runner of the year, while coach of the year honors went to both Lynn Brant of Kings.  For a full list of the girls All-ECC recipients, click HERE.
