Eagle Trio Earns All-ECC Girls Hoops Honors

Posted on: March 3, 2021

On the heels of the first winning season at Milford in five years, a trio of Eagles have been named All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference by the league’s girls basketball coaches. Junior Kaylie McKenney earned a first team berth, while classmate Paige Ayler was placed on the second team. Yet another junior, Madalyn Hills, was picked honorable mention.

Also an honorable mention all-district choice by both coaches and sportswriters, Kaylie had an outstanding junior season. She finished the year ranked second in the ECC with 8.8 rebounds per game and fourth with 47.8% field goal percentage. Offensively, Kaylie averaged 9.4 points per game, including a career-high of 16 twice. This marks her second All-ECC honor after being named second team last year.

After missing most of her sophomore year, Paige reestablished herself amongst the best players in the ECC and as one of the league’s best pure shooters. By season’s end, she was second among league players in both three-point shooting (39.4%) and free throw shooting (81.4%). For the season, Paige averaged nine points and nearly seven rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 18 points in the tournament game against Turpin and posted three double-doubles. This marks the second All-ECC second team award for Paige.

Madalyn makes her debut as an All-ECC selection after finishing her junior year as one of the league’s top three-point shooters. This winter, she made 53 treys, the second-most in the ECC and a single season school record. Madalyn finished the year averaging 8.0 points per game, with a high of 15 in a win over Anderson.
