Eagles Football Host Princeton In 2019 Kickoff Contest

Setting the Scene: The kickoff to the 2019 season has arrived and the Milford Eagles will start the new campaign with its first of six home games, hosting Princeton on Friday, August 30. Kickoff is set for 7 pm and it will be Booster Kickoff/Alumni Night inside Eagle Stadium. The Eagles are coming off a historic campaign that saw the school win its first-ever OHSAA Playoff game and finish with a program best eight wins. Princeton finished last season 3-7 after being forced to forfeit several games.

  • 2018 All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selections:
    • Hunter Johnson
  • Hunter Johnson topped the 2,000 yards passing mark for the year (2,618). He joins former teammate Blake King as the only two Milford signal callers to top 2,000 yards in at least 15 years.
  • Johnson’s 381 yards passing against Fairfield marked his second 300-plus yard passing game and the most for a Milford quarterback over the last decade.
  • Haydin Oberschlake made an impact on special teams, scooping up a blocked punt and returning it 15 yards for a touchdown against Withrow.
  • Lady kicker Grace Ertel finished the regular season tied for the most extra points made in the ECC and made 49 of 55 for the year.
