Eagles Go On Road, Knock Off Little Miami

Posted on: September 23, 2022

Reece Davis and Natwan Webster each scored three touchdowns as Milford got back into the win column with a 42-17 Eastern Cincinnati Conference road victory at Little Miami. Davis caught all three of QB Austin Hardin’s TD passes, while Webster went over the 100-yard mark on top of his three scores.

The Davis-Hardin-Webster trio all put up big numbers on the night. Hardin completed 26 of his 32 passes, surpassing 300 yards for the third time this season, finishing with 347. Davis was his favorite target as the junior hauled in nine passes for a career-high 144 yards. Webster grounded out 110 rushing yards, giving him a pair of 100+ yard efforts in the last three contests.

The Eagles started the night a bit sluggish, yielding an early Little Miami field goal and not taking their first lead until seven seconds remained in the first quarter. Webster got the Eagles on the board for the first time, bursting in from 13 yards out. The Panthers went to the air four minutes into the second quarter to take a 10-7 lead, before the Eagles opened the flood gates. Davis caught a pair of touchdowns in the quarter from Hardin, with Webster also hitting paydirt for the second time in the quarter’s final minute.

Little Miami would get as close as 28-17 in the third quarter, but the third TD each by Davis in the third quarter and Webster early in the fourth put the game on ice.

The Eagles ended the night with a sizable 479-212 edge in total yards. Jacob Smith led the Milford D with seven tackles, a strip sack and four pass break-ups. Bryce Burleson and Carter Ings each snagged interceptions in the victory.

Milford will now turn its attention to its Homecoming contest next Friday night when it welcomes Walnut Hills to Eagle Stadium Powered by Cullen Electric.
