Eagles Well Represented On ECC Swimming & Diving All-League Squads

Posted on: March 1, 2022

Headlined by a pair of relay champions and two individual titlists, the Milford Swimming and Diving programs earned a total of 10 all-conference accolades for their performances in the pool this winter. The well decorated sibling trio, Evan and Erin Fentress, each racked up a trio of honors each for their excellence.

Evan Fentress was the 2022 ECC Champion in the 100 butterfly, an event in which he placed fifth at the OHSAA State Championships and set a school record. Showcasing his versatility, he took second at the ECC meet in the 200 freestyle, before shifting his focus to the 50 freestyle in the postseason. Evan also joined Nick Welty, Paul Menker and Owen Ferrara in capturing the 200 medley relay championship to earn first team All-ECC honors.

Erin Fentress was a first team and league champion in the 50 freestyle, while taking second team honors in the 100 free. She also competed in both events on Ohio’s grandest stage, the State Championships, this past weekend. Erin joined teammates Abbey Sauers, Ashley Johnson and Emily King as second team award winners in the 200 freestyle relay.

The Eagles’ honorable mention selections for swimming were seniors Nico Llerena and Sophia Otten. Divers Luke Eminger (sophomore) and Haleigh Gruber (junior) also picked up honorable mention this year.
