ECC Honors Bestowed On Eagle Track & Field Athletes

A total of eight Milford track and field athletes have earned all-conference recognition within the Eastern Cincinnati Conference for their performances this season. Headlining the list is sophomore Charlie Vause, a first team selection and the ECC Champions in the 3200 meters.

Other Eagles from the boys team to be honored include the 4x100 relay team of Nick Baker, Toto Luani, Ryan Crompton and Ashton Warther who picked up second team distinction after a runner-up finish at the ECC Championship meet. D.J. Chadwell was Milford’s honorable mention after finishing fifth in the 1600 meters and helping the 4x800 meter relay squad to a fifth place finish.

On the girls side, recording setting rookie jumper Caitlin Evans was second team in the long jump after a runner-up leap at the league championship meet. Kelsey McKenney who placed third in the discus and is Milford’s honorable mention selection this spring.

Both Vause and Evans will conclude their seasons this weekend at the OHSAA State Championships in Columbus. Vause will actually compete in the 1600 meters, while Evans will take to the field for long jump competition.
