Emily Allphin To Play Softball at Walsh University
The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Emily Allphin of the school’s Class of 2021 will continue her athletic careers on the collegiate level next year as a member of the Softball team at Walsh University.
Despite having her junior season cancelled by the novel coronavirus, Allphin is already a two-time All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selection, earning second team honors as both a freshman and sophomore. In just two seasons, Allphin was hit .450 in 54 games, connecting on 28 doubles and six home runs and driving in 71 runs.
At Walsh, an NCAA Division II program in North Canton, OH, Allphin will play for head coach Anna Ball. Emily is the daughter of Wes and Heather Allphin.
Further signee information will be shared throughout the 2020-21 academic year as it is finalized. Allphin joins Sophie Cooper (Diving-Ohio University) and Johnny Mickler (Football-University of Dayton) as signees from the Class of ’21.
