Five All-ECC Honors For Girls Bowling

The ECC All-Conference Team awards have been released, and five members of the girls bowling team have received recognition.  Jessica Norman, Reaghan Hodges and Reagan Kaylor have been named first team, Samantha Miller received second team honors, and Fallon Austin was acknowledged with honorable mention.

Norman was named first-team All-ECC for her fourth and final year on Milford’s varsity bowling team.  She ended the season fourth in average (164.6), fourth for high game (243) and seventh for series high (402).  Norman was Milford’s top girls bowler at the annual Big Blue Challenge, rolling a three game high series of 489.  She receives first team recognition for the third consecutive year, and received honorable mention as a freshman.

Reagan Hodges, who received honorable mention recognition in 2018, was named second team All-ECC for her senior season.  She ended the regular season ranked at the top of the ECC for both high game (267), and two-game series high (458).  Aiding that high series, Hodges averaged a 229 to help play spoiler to defeat Turpin on their senior day.

Kaylor received first team All-ECC honors to follow up on her second-team recognition in 2018. The sophomore ended the season fifth in the ECC with an average of 163.9.  Kaylor posted Milford’s best individual finish at Sectionals, finishing 8th overall with a three-game series of 518. She was named to the All-Conference Tournament Team at the Southwest Ohio Conference/Eastern Cincinnati Conference Challenge, leading the Eagles to a second-place finish.

Samantha Miller joined the varsity team as a senior and was awarded second team All-ECC.  Miller’s season high games of 175 and 173 led to a 348 series to help lead the Eagles to a win over rival Loveland.  That victory evened the series and resulted in Milford ending the year tied for second in the conference standings.

Fallon Austin was Milford’s representative for Honorable Mention.  The sophomore, in her first year of varsity bowling, who averaged 129 on the year, scored a high game of 188 and a two-game series high of 362 in 47 games overall.

Lexi Stewart of West Clermont was named Athlete of the Year, while her coach Kevin Briggs received the ECC Coach of the Year award.
