Posted on: October 20, 2021

Following one of the best seasons in the history of the program, Milford is well-represented on the 2021 All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference girls tennis teams. Three individuals, along with a doubles team, have been recognized for their play this season.

Headlining the list is the Eagles’ No. 1 singles player, senior Elise Ostrander, who was one of three players on the first team. Super sophomore and No. 2 player Jasmine Mu earned second team, while regular No. 3, junior Kira Pietila, was honorable mention. In addition, the junior duo of Zara Brown and Annika Hansen were second team honorees.

Ostrander capped an outstanding career with her fourth All-ECC award, including her third straight first team honor. As a senior, she finished the regular season with a 13-2 record at No. 1 singles, before earning a third-place finish in the ECC.

Mu was undefeated at No. 2 during the regular season, finishing 15-0, while also picking up a win in the top slot. She went on to capture the No. 2 title at the ECC Championships.

Brown and Hansen were 6-3 when teamed together during the regular season and finished fourth at the ECC Tournament. They also became the first Milford duo to earn all-league honors since 2012.

Pietila also had a great year in singles play, going 11-2 overall. In the ECC Tournament, she won the No. 3 singles title.
