Following Win Over Turpin, Milford Wrestling Heads To New Richmond Duals

SETTING THE SCENE:  Following a win over Turpin of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, Milford’s wrestling squad will be back in action at New Richmond.   The Eagles will face New Richmond as well as Wilmington and Western Brown.

 

A LOOK BACK:  The Eagles flew high last week with a 48-18 victory over the ECC’s Turpin.  Milford lost just three matches in the competition.  

Justin Bell and Jack Ward joined the varsity club with their first varsity wins.  Winning by falls for Milford were Alex Price, Jimmy Murphy, Kyle Brady, Vance Geeslin, Bell and Ward. 

Congratulations as well to senior Murphy, who will look to join the 100 win club at New Richmond this week.

 

A LOOK AHEAD:  Milford will head to New Richmond this week for duals with the host team as well as Wilmington and Western Brown.

POLL WATCH:  There were no changes in the top five of the area coaches’ poll for week two, as Elder maintained first followed by Mason, LaSalle, Fairfield and Harrison.  The ECC’s Loveland, previously ranked tenth, fell out of the poll but did receive 19 votes.   Glen Este (5) was the only ECC program to receive votes in week two.
