Football Back At Home Hosting Showdown With Turpin

SETTING THE SCENE: In its second home game of the 2021 campaign, Milford will face a tall challenge when it welcomes Turpin to Eagle Stadium Powered by Cullen Electric for a Week 4 match-up. The Eagles are coming off a win to open ECC play as they used strong defense to topple Walnut Hills 34-8 last week. Turpin is 3-0 with wins over Oak Hills, Dublin Coffman and a shootout victory over Loveland. Milford is seeking its first win over the Spartans since back-to-back triumphs in 2017-18.

Notable 2021 Performances 

  • Junior RB Natwan Webster enjoyed the second 100-yard rushing game of his career in Week 1 against Edgewood, finishing with 149 yards on just 15 carries. He also gained 133 yards last year against Turpin.
  • Sophomore WR Reese Davis had a big performance in his first varsity game vs. Edgewood with 141 yards receiving. He along with Chase Duesing (124 yards) became the first Eagle duo since September 2019 (Vince Ringland & Max Ward) vs. Loveland to each top 100 yards in the same game.
  • In just the sixth full game of his career, junior QB Austin Hardin tossed four touchdowns or more for the third time against Edgewood. He has 18 TDs and nearly 1,800 yards to date.
  • Senior WR Chase Duesing went over 100 yards receiving for the second time this season in the Walnut Hills win. Duesing hauled in six passes for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It marked the third 100-yard game of his career.
