Football Eagles Seek To Roll On At Loveland

SETTING THE SCENE: Winners of two in a row and tied atop the ECC standings, Milford takes its show on the road to Loveland for the annual Battle of the Miami Township Victory Bell during Week 5 of the 2021 prep campaign. The Eagles are fresh off a huge win, a 20-13 triumph over perennial conference front runner Turpin last week. The win pushed Milford to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Eagles will be out to extend their win streak to six over the rival Tigers who are 1-3 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Notable 2021 Performances
 

  • Junior RB Natwan Webster enjoyed the second 100-yard rushing game of his career in Week 1 against Edgewood, finishing with 149 yards on just 15 carries. He also gained 133 yards last year against Turpin.
  • Sophomore WR Reese Davis had a big performance in his first varsity game vs. Edgewood with 141 yards receiving. He along with Chase Duesing (124 yards) became the first Eagle duo since September 2019 (Vince Ringland & Max Ward) vs. Loveland to each top 100 yards in the same game.
  • In just the sixth full game of his career, junior QB Austin Hardin tossed four touchdowns or more for the third time against Edgewood. He has 18 TDs and nearly 1,800 yards to date.
  • Senior WR Chase Duesing went over 100 yards receiving for the second time this season in the Walnut Hills win. Duesing hauled in six passes for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It marked the third 100-yard game of his career.
  • Sophomore RB/LB Tofa Luani made huge contributions on both sides of the ball in the win over Turpin. Luani rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns, while recording a pair of sacks on defense.
  • Senior DL Cam Zoromski had the game of his career in the Turpin win. In addition to helping keep the Spartan run game to just 55 yards, Zoromski had a game-high 11 tackles, including four sacks.
