Four Eagles Selected For All-ECC Honors For Boys Bowling

The Eastern Cincinnati conference members have selected four Milford boys bowlers for ECC All-Conference honors.  The 2017 All-ECC first team selections included senior Noah Dolezal and juniors Josh Cooper and Nathan McGeorge, while fellow junior Eugene Koczwara received honorable mention.

Dolezal received first team honors for the third consecutive year.  Dolezal set a new Milford single game record of 278 pins in a match with Moeller, and he ended the season in first for high game (278) in the ECC.  He finished the year with the second highest average (197.7) in the conference, and a 472 high series against Turpin was good for sixth in the ECC. 

Cooper’s 502 series broke Milford’s previous two game series record set in 2012.  He ranked second in the ECC for single high game (269), posted the third highest series (5-2) and his 191.6 average ranked seventh in the conference.  Cooper was named to the first-team in 2016 after receiving second team honors as a freshman in 2015.

Nathan McGeorge was also named to the ECC all-conference first team for the third consecutive year.  His game average of 197.5 ranked fourth in the ECC this year.  In addition, McGeorge’s 474 series ranked 5th, and he tied for ninth with a game high 255.  He set two new season personal bests, with a 255 high game and 474 two game series. 

Honorable mention recipient Eugene Koczwara came on strong as the season progressed, setting two new personal bests this season, including a high game of 244 and 443 high series.  He ended the year with a 175.9 average.
