February 3 at Turpin
For the second time this season, Milford gave Turpin, one of the top teams in the ECC all it could handle, but a tough third quarter proved the Eagles undoing as they fell to the Spartans by a 42-37 final. The Eagles will get one final shot at retribution when they take on Turpin in the opening round of the OHSAA Tournament next Saturday.

After trailing at the end of the first quarter, Milford took its first lead with just over two minutes left in the second when Kaylie McKenney drilled a three to make the sore 18-16. The final two minutes of the half were tight and the teams went into the break knotted up at 22.

In the third, the Eagles connected on just 1 of 7 shots, falling behind by five at the end of the period. Turpin drew out to a nine-point lead early in the fourth, but Milford fought back to within three on a Madalyn Hills triple with less than a minute to play. That was as close as they would get as Turpin closed out the triumph.
