November 28 vs. West Clermont
Milford and West Clermont battled down to the final seconds but in the end, behind 37 points from the Wolves’ Marissa Jenike, WC prevailed by a 56-51 final score. The game featured seven ties and 12 lead changes, along with a frantic final couple of minutes that saw the Wolves not able to put the Eagles away until the final 15 seconds.

Jenike was splendid throughout, making 10 of 13 from the field (including all three of her three-point tries), along with 14 of 15 from the free throw line. The senior made 3 of 4 from the line in the final 30 seconds to seal the WC victory.

The Eagles trailed by a game-high 10 in the first minute of the fourth quarter but refused to stay down. A three-pointer by Paige Ayler with 1:31 left drew the Eagles to within two, and following two WC free throws, Madalyn Hills answered with a three of her own to make it 52-51 with just 42 ticks to go. The Eagles wouldn’t score again though as West Clermont made 4 of 6 free throws to wrap up its win.

Ayler battled foul trouble throughout but finished with a season-high 15 points. The strong start to Miah O’Toole’s sophomore season continued with 14 points and four rebounds.
