Girls Bowling at Sectional Tournament On Wednesday

*UPDATED SCHEDULE -DUE TO WEATHER, WEDNESDAY'S SECTIONAL WILL BE ON A 2 HOUR DELAY.  THE TOURNAMENT IS NOW SCHEDULED FOR 11:00 AM START.

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  The The Eagles will take a streak of six straight victories into the postseason, as they look to advance out of the upcoming OHSAA Sectional Tournament.

The draw for the girls at the South Tournament at Crossgate Lanes includes Harrison, Lakota East, Lebanon, Little Miami, Loveland, Kings, Milford, Middletown, Mt. Notre Dame, Ross, Seton, Sycamore, St. Ursula, Turpin, Ursuline Academy, and West Clermont. Previously this season Milford swept Turpin, split the series with both Loveland and Kings, and dropped two matches to West Clermont.  The team also won at St. Ursula.

The top seven teams, and the top seven individuals not advancing as part of a team, will move on to the District Tournament which will be held the following week on Thurs., Feb. 28 at Beaver-Vu Lanes near Dayton.

Wed., Feb. 20:                        Milford at OHSAA Sectional Tournament, Crossgate Lanes, 11:00 am

In 2018 and for the second consecutive year, the Lady Eagles were the tournament runners-up out of fifteen teams to advance and qualified as a team to advance to the Division I OHSAA District Tournament.

 

A LOOK BACK:

February 11 at Milford:  Milford 2222, Turpin 2031

The season finale was held on the home lanes, a celebration of seniors Reagan Hodges, Samantha Miller and Jessica Norman was enhanced with a conference victory of Turpin.  The ladies were all in with two games each: Reagan Hodges (368), Jessica Norman (358), Reaghan Kaylor (302), Samantha Miller (272) and Fallon Austin (263).

  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: West Clermont finished the regular season 12-0 and conference champions.  Milford and Loveland each ended the year at 8-4, while Turpin finished 6-6.  Kings (5-7), Walnut Hills (2-10) and Anderson (1-11) round out the final regular season standings.

A look at Milford’s individual statistical leaders in the ECC as of Feb. 17:

Average: Norman (4th – 164.6); Kaylor (5th – 163.9); Hodges (7th – 160.7)

High Game: Hodges (1st – 267); Norman (4th – 243)

Series High: Hodges (1st – 458); Norman
