Girls Golf Travels To West Clermont For Tuesday Match-Up

SETTING THE SCENE: For the first time, the Milford High School girls golf team will go one-on-one with West Clermont, the newest member of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, when the Eagles return to the links on Tuesday. In their only contest of this week, the Eagles will travel to Friendly Meadows Golf Course to take on the Wolves for the inaugural meeting between the schools. Milford will be looking to improve upon a 4-3 overall dual match record this season against WCHS.


THE UPCOMING DOCKET: A look at Milford’s schedule for the upcoming week:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 12 at West Clermont, Friendly Meadows GC, 4:00 p.m.
    • 2017 Dual Record: 4-4, 2-0 ECC
    • Top Player: Shelby Hatcher (53.5 average)


A LOOK BACK: Sept. 7 at Turpin: Senior Casey Broxterman earned her second consecutive medalist honor but it wasn’t enough as the Eagles fell at Terrace Park Country Club by a 182-190 score to Eastern Cincinnati Conference rival Turpin. Broxterman concluded her day with a score of 42. For her efforts, she was voted the Cincinnati Enquirer Girls Golf Player of the Week on Sept. 9.

POLL WATCH: Milford continued to earn votes in the Sept. 11 edition of the Cincinnati Enquirer’s area Division I coaches’ poll. Ursuline Academy continues to hold the top spot, this week earning nine of the 11 first place votes. The balance of the top-five includes Mason, Sycamore (one first place vote), Lakota East and Mercy. The ECC is also represented by Loveland in a three-way tie for eighth, along with Kings, Turpin and Anderson joining the Eagles in earning votes. The coaches’ poll is released every Monday at Noon at
