Girls Lacrosse Hosts Trio of Games, Travels to Lakota East

SETTING THE SCENE: After taking more than a week off, the Lady Eagles lacrosse team is back in action this week. Milford will host three games this week, including ECC rival Anderson, and travel to Lakota East.

THE UPCOMING DOCKET: Here’s a look at the Milford girls lacrosse schedule this week:

  • Tuesday, April 4 vs. Anderson, 7 p.m.
    • 2017 Record: 2-2, 0-0 ECC
  • Wednesday, April 5 vs. Notre Dame Academy, 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 6 at Lakota East, 7 p.m.
    • 2017 Record: 5-0, 0-0 GMC
  • Saturday, April 8, vs. Bishop Fenwick, 11:30 a.m.

A LOOK BACK: MHS played a pair of tough ECC games to start their inaugural season. Milford lost, 18-5, against Turpin in its first-ever game on Tuesday, March 21. Goalkeeper Hannah Gallimore recorded 14 saves in her first outing, while the Eagles had five goalscorers including senior Amanda Lee, sophomores Grace Molett, Ellen Victory, Sydnee Smith and freshman Angel Dominguez.

The Eagles fell to Walnut Hills, 17-3, in their first-ever home game. Lee, Molett and Dominguez each scored goals for Milford.

POLL WATCH: Mount Notre Dame tops the Ohio Girls Lacrosse Coaches’ Poll, followed by Indian Hill and Sycamore. Loveland is the only team to represent the ECC in the polls, landing at No. 7. The full poll can be found here.
