Girls Lacrosse Opens 2019 With Trio Of Home Games

A LOOK AT THE EAGLES: Milford will be looking to improve on last season’s 5-13 record behind a squad that features three returning postseason award honorees. The top returnee is also one of the top players in the area in sophomore Sarah Cardell. As a freshman, Cardell was a first team all-conference and second team all-region selection, leading the conference with 70 goals scored. Junior goalie Emily Stiles recorded 164 saves on her way to first team All-ECC honors last year. Senior Sydney Hogan had 35 goals and seven assists to grab second team All-ECC accolades. Classmate Casey Roeder was tabbed an honorable mention all-region choice.
The rest of the Milford roster includes: seniors Sarah Ehrman, Megan LaFrance, Grace Powers, Katie Prior and Lindsay Schaeffer, juniors Josi Jennings, Kayla McCoon, Alexis Montalvo, Alexa Rouse and Brooke Van Valkenburg, sophomores Reilly Ackermann, Brooke Fender, Alayna Lee and Maddy O’Brien and freshman Gillian Roeder.
