Girls Tennis Captures Runner-Up At ECC Tournament

The resurgence of the Milford tennis team peaked as the Eagles finished a program-best second place at the 2020 ECC Championships. The Eagles advanced to singles players and a doubles team to the finals for a total of three runner-up finishes. The second place tally marked the team’s top finish ever in the ECC and an improvement of four spots from one year ago. Junior Elise Ostrander (first singles), sophomore Kira Pietila (second singles) and the team of sophomores Anika Hansen and Ariana Carranza all advanced to the finals for the Eagles.

First singles: Elise Ostrander 2nd place
Second single: Jasmin Mu 5th place
Third singles: Kira Pietila 2nd place
First doubles: Zara Brown/Lauren Hickey 4th place
Second doubles: Anika Hansen/Ariana Carranza 2nd place
