Girls Volleyball Hosts Anderson, Travels to Loveland and Lebanon In Week Ahead

SETTING THE SCENE:  Milford collected an additional conference win over Withrow and fell in another close match with West Clermont.  Two Eastern Cincinnati Conference foes in Anderson and Loveland await, along with a nonconference outing at Lebanon.

 

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  As the regular season winds down, Milford can move up in the ECC standings in the week ahead.  The Lady Eagles can gain some ground in the standings with a win over Anderson, and they have a chance for an upset over undefeated #6 Loveland. Milford will close the week with a Saturday trip to Lebanon. 

Tuesday, 10/2:             Anderson High School @ Milford, 7:00 pm

Thursday, 10/4:           Milford @ Loveland High School, 7:00 pm

Saturday, 10/6:            Milford @ Lebanon High School, 10:00 am

 

A LOOK BACK:

September 25 at Milford: Milford 3, Withrow 0

Milford easily swept the match and season series with Withrow with scores of 25-3, 25-3, 25-3.

September 27 at West Clermont: West Clermont 3, Milford 0

Though West Clermont took the first set 25-12, Milford fought back but fell 25-23, and 25-22 in the second and third games.

  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  With two additional wins, Loveland maintained a perfect record and improved to 10-0 to lead the ECC. Turpin follows at 8-2 followed by Kings at 6-4.  West Clermont and Anderson are tied at 5-5, and while Milford improved to 3-7, as did Walnut Hills.  Withrow is currently 0-10 in the ECC.  Statistical leaders for the Lady Eagles as of Sept. 30:

POLL WATCH: Ursuline, Mercy McAuley and Mt. Notre Dame held onto the top three positions for week seven of the Enquirer’s area coaches’ poll.  Mason moved to fourth and St. Ursula fell from fourth to fifth. The ECC’s Loveland held as sixth while Turpin moved up a position to eighth. Anderson (12), Kings (12), and West Clermont (8) each received votes in week seven; find the poll HERE.
