Horn Qualifies For Boys Golf District Tourney, Eagles Narrowly Miss

Junior Justin Horn shot a round of 76 to tie for seventh overall and punch his ticket to next week’s OHSAA Southwest District Tournament during sectional play on Tuesday at the Sharon Woods Golf Course. Horn earned one of the four qualifying slots awarded to players not on advancing teams.

 

As a team, Milford finished fifth in the 15-team field, just missing qualifying for districts by a mere 10 shots. Lakota East dominated play during the day, shooting a tournament-best 293 to run away with the title. Mason (314), Loveland (317) and Moeller (319) were the other squads to advance full teams to the district tournament.

 

The Southwest District Tournament will be contested on Thursday, October 12 at the Glenview Golf Course.
