Loveland, Princeton and Tri-Match On Tap For Boys Volleyball

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  A full week awaits Milford’s boys volleyball team, including ECC rival Loveland at home. The Eagles defeated the Tigers in the first meeting of the two teams earlier in the season, and both are 2-2 in conference play this year.  Loveland is ranked #6, while Milford is now #10 in this week’s OHSBVA poll.  Milford will also travel this week to meet Princeton, and will play in a tri-match with Hamilton and Roger Bacon at Hamilton.                                                 

Tuesday, April 30:                 Loveland High School at Milford, 6:45 pm

Wednesday, May 1:              Milford at Princeton High School, 6:00 pm

Saturday, May 4:                   Milford at Tri-Match with Hamilton/Roger Bacon, Hamilton High School, 11:00 am

  

A LOOK BACK:

April 23 at Milford:  Walnut Hills 3, Milford 2

The Eagles lost the first two sets to Walnut Hills but rallied to take the next two.  Though Milford forced the fifth set, Walnut Hills prevailed to take the match in five: 21-25, 20-25, 29-27, 25-15, 12-15.

 

April 24 at Milford:  Milford 3, Fairfield 2

Milford found themselves yet again down in the first two sets, this time to open the match against Fairfield.  However, the Eagles battled back and forced a fifth set for the third match in a row.  Milford came out on the right side of the final score this time and won: 17-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-22, 15-13.

 

Schedule Update:  The April 18 match with Taylor High School has been rescheduled for Mon., May 6 at Milford.

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  Milford now owns an overall record of 6-4, and 2-2 in ECC play.  Walnut Hills, at 4-0 is atop the standings, followed by Loveland and Milford (2-2) and West Clermont (0-4).

 

POLL WATCH:  Milford has once again entered the poll, now in tenth for the week ending April 28. St. Xavier, Moeller and Elder once again maintained the top three positions; Mason rose to fourth from sixth, with LaSalle held at fifth.  Loveland, ranked tenth last week vaulted to sixth, and Badin fell to seventh from fourth.  Fairfield, Oak Hills and Milford round out the top ten.
