Mark Trout Inducted Into High School Alma Mater’s Hall Of Fame

Posted on: October 5, 2016

If you couldn’t find Milford Athletic Director Mark Trout during the Sept. 30 home football game against Walnut Hills, he was uncharacteristically absent, but with good reason. Mark was at Oxford Talawanda High School, his alma mater, to be inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2016.

Since his high school days, Mark has made an impact on everything he has touched, first as a student-athlete, then as a coach and teacher and for the last 11 years as the Director of Athletics and Activities at Milford High School. While his accomplishments at Milford are known by many, not all Eagles’ supporters are aware of what Mark achieved earlier in life. A 1988 graduate of Talawanda, Mark was a three-year varsity starter on the school’s successful soccer team and an all-conference selection. He moved on to Ohio Northern University where he continued to excel as a student-athlete, earning numerous accolades for his dedication on and off-the field, before receiving his B.S. in Mathematics in 1993.

Shortly after graduating from ONU, Mark joined the Milford Exempted Village School District and has touched the lives of countless students in the classroom, as a coach and later as an administrator over the last two decades. Mark served 12 years as a teacher, coached basketball and soccer for 19 seasons and is in his 11th year as the school’s Athletic Director. He coached many outstanding players during his career and led many successful teams, including the 2004 Greater Miami Conference Championship boys soccer squad. His tenure as AD has also been outstanding as he has led many important projects such as the installation of field turf in the football stadium and new scoreboards for many of the athletic facilities.

Mark lives in Milford with his wife Cobin and their children, Lydia and Jude.

Congratulations Mark Trout and thank you for your dedicated service to the Milford High School community!
