MHS Girls Bowling Takes On Loveland This Week
SETTING THE SCENE: The Lady Eagles opened the season undefeated, and find themselves among those at the top of the ECC with a 2-0 record. Up next: conference rival Loveland, who sits at 0-2 thus far in the season.
A LOOK BACK: Milford soundly defeated Anderson on 11/28, 2354-1998. Jessica Haines led the Eagles in the season opener with a 388 series and a team high game of 211. Alyna Hook’s 180 helped her to a 332 series, and Jessica Norman followed with a 312 series. Lauren Shelton averaged 147.5, while MacKenzie Mason was close behind with a 141.5 average.
A 393 series from Haines helped to guide the Eagles to a win and the sweep over the Redskins, 2086 – 1685, on 11/30. Those with two game series for Milford included Hook’s 349, Norman’s 283 and Mason’s 268 series. Shelton and Haley Johnson added one game each in the Eagle’s win, which places the team among the conference leaders.
A LOOK AHEAD: The Eagles are back in action this week with another conference matchup in week two, this one with Loveland. Both contests will be held at Eastgate Lanes.

INSIDE THE ECC: Glen Este, Milford and Turpin lead the league at 2-0, and early in the season. Jessica Haines leads the league in two of three categories, and is joined by Hook and Norman as individual leaders in the top ten of the ECC.

POLL WATCH: Milford received one first place vote, and moved up to sixth in the most recent area coaches’ poll of the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Eagles were previously ranked tenth. The ECC’s Glen Este remained in first, while Fairfield moved up four spots to second. Seton, Oak Hills and McAuley round out the top five. Anderson, previously ranked seventh, fell out of the poll after two losses to Milford last week but did receive nineteen votes. Also receiving votes in week two from the ECC: Turpin (16) and Loveland (10).
