MHS Wrestling Hosts Milford Invitational Tournament Saturday
Seventeen regional high school wrestling teams will travel to Milford this weekend, as the Eagles host the annual Milford Invitational Tournament this Saturday, 1/28, at Milford High School. Action gets underway at 10:00 am in the MHS Main Gym.
Teams ranked in the Cincinnati Enquirer coaches’ poll include #2 Mason and #5 Harrison from Division I, as well as #7 New Richmond from Division II-III.
Other schools participating in the MIT include Eastern Cincinnati Conference members Kings, Turpin, Walnut Hills and Withrow, and Amelia, Batavia, Fairborn, Indian Hill, Middletown, Monroe, Northwest, Winton Woods and Xenia.
Historically Milford has performed well on the home mats. Milford finished in third place in 2016, just seven points behind first place New Richmond, and three points behind Mason, who finished in second. Current athletes Kobey Bronaugh, Jimmy Murphy and Vance Geeslin finished first in their respective weight classes, and Tre Spillman finished sixth.
