Milford’s Boys Track & Field Competing At Hamilton Invitational

SETTING THE SCENE:  Milford will head to the Hamilton Invitational this week, hoping to repeat as champions as they won the meet in 2015.  This is the last meet the team will have to build toward the Eastern Cincinnati Conference meet, to be held next week at Anderson.

A LOOK BACK:  In the midst of chilly temperatures and periodic rain, the Milford boys placed second of ten teams at their own Milford Invitational, behind only Mt. Healthy.  Milford also finished ahead of Turpin and Anderson of the ECC.

First place finishers included: Jake Cooley, 300 meter hurdles; Harris Craycraft, 3200 meter run; Dominic Dalessandro, 200 meter dash; and Dustin Reynolds, high jump.

Milford athletes in the top eight and earning points for each event were as follows:

POLL WATCH:   Mason held steady as the team in first position in the rankings of the Division I coaches’ poll for week five with LaSalle remaining in second.  However, Sycamore and Lakota East jumped to third and fourth, while the ECC’s Kings feel three spots and is now tied for fifth with fellow conference member Loveland, who fell from fourth. Withrow, previous ranked sixth, fell out of the poll completely, as did Anderson who was last week’s tenth place team. Walnut Hills (2) and Turpin (1) received votes this week, and Milford’s team received no votes in week five’s poll.
