Milford Athletics, There’s More at Stake than a Game®, and Chick-fil-A Romar Center Partner to Promote Positive Behavior among Spectators
In their continuing effort to promote positive fan behavior Milford School District’s Athletic Department, There’s More at Stake than a Game®, and Chick-fil-A Romar Center partner to educate fans of appropriate behavior at youth sporting events while also providing fundraising for Milford Athletics.
“Chick-fil-A always takes an active role in being a positive influence in the community, and we’re excited to have their support in promoting our initiative to encourage positive fan behavior! Chick-fil-A Romar Center in Milford helped to sponsor warm-up jerseys that reflect the There’s More at Stake than a Game® message for our varsity basketball athletes.
What I’m most excited about is our weekly drawing for Free Chick-fil-A for the fans! The Athletic Staff will select a There’s More at Stake than a Game® Fan of the Game at our Varsity games. Those fans will be placed in a weekly drawing for Free Chick-fil-A for a week! Fans can also tag us in pictures from games with the hashtag #MASTAG to be in consideration for the drawing. Two winners, one adult and one student, will be selected on Monday of each week.
When fans purchase and wear There’s More at Stake than a Game® gear, 30% of the proceeds go to the athletic department and 10% of proceeds to Ohio Cleats for Kids. We are raising awareness while providing a form of fundraising, but it is the spectators who wear the gear who are heroes communicating the message” said Lori Carnathan, Owner of There’s More at Stake than a Game®
Positive Impact on Community
Unfortunately, inappropriate fan behavior has been on the rise nationally. Milford Schools and There’s More at Stake than a Game® are taking the initiative to address this issue head-on with a model that can be rolled out nationally to improve the athletic environment for students. Chick-fil-A believes in being a positive influence in the community and supports Milford Schools and the initiative of There’s More at Stake than a Game®.
Milford Exempted Village School District
Milford Exempted Village School District is a highly-rated school located in Milford, OH. Milford has approximately 6,500 students and is part of the esteemed Eastern Cincinnati Conference. This past March, the Milford Board of Education approved Mr. Aaron Zupka, C.A.A. as the new athletic director for the district. “We could not be more excited to have Aaron to lead our athletics department. He is student-centered and will bring tremendous energy to lead our athletics program to the next level,” said Milford High School Principal Josh Kauffman.

Founded in October of 2018, There’s More at Stake than a Game® is changing the culture of youth sports by providing a visual reminder against out of control adults with the phrase “There’s More at Stake than a Game.”
